Use two accounts on one smartphone with WhatsApp’s multi-account capability. Here’s how?

In India, WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps. The primary causes of this platform’s continued success are its top features and frequent updates. The main WhatsApp enhancements from the previous year were support for multiple accounts, support for multiple devices, pinned messages, replying from the lock screen, polls and quizzes, screen sharing, and many other features. Your personal number is a supporter of the WhatsApp platform. Earlier versions of WhatsApp did not permit users to have several accounts, even if their smartphones enabled dual SIM. But that’s all right. Users will be able to use two accounts on a single device thanks to an upgrade to the application in 2024.

What is the functionality of Multiple Account Support?

Users can now switch between accounts on the same device with WhatsApp. It provides the option to simultaneously log into two Android WhatsApp accounts. This feature is really helpful because it saves you the trouble of having to carry around two phones or log out every time you need to move between professional and personal chats.

Having a second number is still necessary to use this feature.

How is Multiple Account Support configured?
You will need a second SIM card and phone number, or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM, in order to set up a second account. All you have to do is click “Add account” after opening your WhatsApp settings and selecting the arrow next to your name. On every account, you have control over your notification and privacy settings.

Select Settings by tapping on the three dots menu symbol located in the upper-right corner of the screen once you’re certain your program has updated. Select the drop-down menu that appears next to the tab for your profile on the settings page. There will be a drop-down menu with an opportunity to add an account.

You must add a second contact number to your account before you can enter the six-digit verification code. Selecting a profile photo, entering your desired profile name, and selecting “Next” will complete your profile information.

You will eventually be able to access the same app with both accounts. The three-dot menu in the top-right corner has a Switch Accounts option that you can use to move between various accounts.
