Tata Punch overtakes Maruti Swift as the best-selling automobile model in June 2024.

To increase sales and place their models in the top 10, the automakers are competing with one another to give discounts and other incentives. The passenger car market had a 3% increase in 3.7 lakh units, according to data from the Indian Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers, with TATA Punch, Swift, Creta, and Ertiga holding the top four positions.
With 18,238 sales in June 2024, TATA Punch regained its top spot among automobile models, overtaking the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which was leading the field in May. Due to its low cost, high level of safety, plenty of features, and five-star BHART NCAP safety certification, the TATA Punch has been the best-selling car model on the list for a few months running.
Maruti Suzuki maintained its lead in the third-largest car market, ranking sixth in the list of the top ten vehicles sold.
According to data, Maruti Swift, which topped the May rankings, dropped 16% month-over-month to rank second in June 2024 with 16,422 vehicles. Hyundai Creta, which came in third place with sales of 16,293 units in June and a 12% gain, was just behind, but not by much. Maruti Suzuki was able to take the fifth position.
