The New iOS 18 AI Features Aren’t Compatible with These iPhones

Many cutting-edge AI features are coming to iPhones with Apple’s iOS 18, However not all iPhones will be able to utilize them. Even though older iPhone devices are still capable of running iOS 18, the high processing power requirements of these AI functions may be a challenge.

Strong Hardware

There are two categories of AI features in iOS 18: basic features that operate on-device and advanced features that require communication with Apple’s servers.

For instance, a lot of processing power will be required for the new Siri. Siri will be able to perform intricate operations like deleting emails, organising notes, opening particular documents, and more by using language models.

Many of these AI functions, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, require an iPhone 15 Pro or later in order to function effectively.

But iOS 18 will work on some older models of iPhone but they can’t be able to run AI on it, because they don’t have processing power to run AI.
