You might soon be able to reply to photographs on WhatsApp and alter them using Meta AI: This is how it operates
The majority of users of WhatsApp have already taken a liking to Meta’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, which it debuted with just lately. Additionally, it is accessible through the Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook apps. Despite its remarkable language capabilities—which include answering questions and providing answers—Meta is apparently developing a new version that will enable its AI to respond to and alter user-submitted photographs.
Update tracker WABetaInfo for WhatsApp reports that the Android 2.24.14.20 WhatsApp beta included this new functionality. Not every beta tester has access to the functionality yet, as it is still in the development stage. Nevertheless, WABetaInfo has further released AI feature screenshots that showcase its capabilities.
The feature tracker’s snapshot also shows that WhatsApp would allow users to edit and remove photographs at any moment with the assistance of Meta AI. Furthermore, it appears from the screenshot that Meta AI will include the ability to alter photos, allowing users to do so with a personalised prompt within the chatbot.
It is currently possible to modify photos on other generative AI models, such as Gemini AI and ChatGPT. A few of the open-sourced Llama 3 models are also capable of doing so, but users will need to execute such models locally and not have access to the source code.
Furthermore improving customer convenience, this picture editing function lets users make fast tweaks and adjustments to their photos right within the WhatsApp app, saving them time.
